Pretty Lights
Blessings!
My name is Erin Taylor and I am a registered nurse, dietitian and medicine woman.
I am honored and delighted you followed your heart to my site which I created for you.
Health and healing are beyond my passions, they are my duty and dharma…
I served western medicine for over 2 decades as an emergency room, pediatric critical care and NICU nurse, as well as a registered dietitian.
I’m a human just like you, who has in the past struggled with common human dis-ease such as:
I became beyond frustrated and, quite honestly, maddened, by the pharmaceutical, patriarchal, and narcissistic agendas behind the “healing” options western medicine offered…and none of them actually had anything to do with healing.
2014 was the beginning of my spiritual healing journey.
My husband gave me the book, The Celestine Prophecy, right after our private wedding ceremony at Machu Picchu, and I immediately was pulled into a magical, spiritual quest for self-healing modalities.
I trained in:
Cory and Erin Taylor
At the tail end of my 12-year nursing career in 2018, I had no idea I was in severe burnout…
I thought I was “immune” to it because I had a daily meditation practice, I was sober and doing all the health and self-care practices I could do.
Healthcare (more appropriately named “sickcare”) has no bandwidth to recognize, care about, or do anything for severe burnout with their nurses.
Retiring from nursing was extremely difficult for me…I felt like I was giving up on people.
I just couldn’t do it anymore.
My body was screaming at me with debilitating low back pain (despite all the hot yoga and pilates), crippling anxiety and gut wrenching abdominal pain which dropped me to my knees the day I quit.
My body tells me what it needs.
I trust the signals that it sends.
My body knows how to heal itself, and it is doing so right now.

It was holiday season 2018, and I received a free book, which to this day, is my favorite book of all time: Santa Sold Shrooms, by Tero Isokeuppila, the founder of Four Sigmatic Mushrooms.
It is the story of the REAL Santa Claus, (not the fake character they teach you about at church, whom has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus) who was actually a Scandinavian Sami shaman and gave the world’s most famous mushroom, the amanita muscaria, to his village people to heal.
Around the same time, I became obsessed with Shiitake mushrooms at the grocery store which were selling for a whopping $18 a pound compared to $8-9 a pound for lion’s mane or oyster mushrooms. I started to ask myself…
“Who is growing those mushrooms???”
I actually have to thank my late father-in-law for sparking that mushroom bug in me that only continues to grow today!
I found an internship at a local Denver mushroom farm and learned how to grow all kinds of mushrooms.

I started an oyster mushroom kit business in 2020.
My obsession with the mushrooms at this point is a huge understatement, which is usually the case for us mushroom-obsessed types.
In 2020, I listened to How To Change Your Mind, by Michael Pollan, and decided to start microdosing.
I always wanted to offer a woman’s retreat, and since Denver just decriminalized magic mushrooms in 2019, I dreamt of offering women’s psilocybin retreats…

We are on the cusp of a spiritual revolution, and Colorado decriminalized magic mushrooms for healing in November 2022.
Nothing gives me greater joy than hearing people’s life transformation stories from psilocybin and personal spiritual practices.
And there are many...Here are just a few:
I recently found myself being surrounded by members of my family circle diagnosed with a number of mental illnesses ranging from depression to dementia.
I would recommend Erin's guidance to anyone seeking the promise of improved mental health and wellbeing.

Erin’s guidance has been an ever-supportive presence that has rippled throughout all aspects of my life. I have grown deeply from her leadership and have learned so much from her regarding love, integrity, safety, intention and connection.

Erin’s extensive knowledge of the different types of mushrooms and how they can help you in so many different ways has been an educational experience for me. Her guidance throughout my spiritual, mental and physical healing path has made an enormous positive impact on my life. Thank you Erin!

The wisdom and practices I learned (from mostly women elders) are the heart and soul of this site I created for you.
The offerings I share have been instrumental in my own healing journey, and are still part of my daily rituals today.
I became a published author in June 2023, making me a 4th generational, and only woman, writer in my family.

Why?
What you'll learn in this quick read:
When I’m not writing or guiding people to heal their own lives, I can be found with my nose in a book or mushroom crop, leading women’s circles, dancing to Pretty Lights, adventuring in my beloved Rocky Mountains which have raised me since I was 4 years young, and spending quality time with my husband, Cory.
Rocky Mountain Playtime
I am confident the gifts and wisdom I share with you here will help you on your quest for sovereignty from the “systems” to heal and transform your own life.
Happy healing and abundant blessings on all your journeys,
Erin
